Troolin email update, August 2015
Dear Friends and Family,
We praise the Lord because it seems we are all settling into our daily
routines, and we feel a sense of depressurizing from our time in PNG!
Thank you for your prayers for us as we recover our emotional and
spiritual balance! We had a visitor this week, John Miller, a friend who
had been with us in PNG. While he came to Adelaide on business, we were
glad to host him and catch up!
Sarah and the kids love homeschooling. In addition to their regular
school work, the kids are all making quilts, which Sarah is happy to
help them to do! We have finally been in a place with a bike Rebekah's
size and open areas, and so Rebekah has learned to ride a bike! Now we
are planning future family bike riding adventures. :)
Dave has handed in his first chapter to be check over, and his advisors
recommended he convert it into two chapters, so that is his focus right
now. In addition, we have three speaking engagements this month, and a
deadline to hand in an article that Dave hopes will be incorporated into
an edited collection (through the Association for Social Anthropology in
Oceania conference). Please pray for him to concentrate well and to be a
faithful witness at the university.
God bless,
Dave, Sarah, Joanna, Samuel, Matthew and Rebekah
